Breezeline Email App and Breezeline Email Settings for Every Address in One Inbox

Breezeline makes no app that reads mail. Here are the server names that actually answer, tested live, and a way to read the old address beside Gmail and work mail on any computer.

Breezeline email server settings

Find the server for the address you have

Breezeline carries mail from three older companies, and the host depends on what comes after the @. Every host below answered IMAP from the United States on October 7, 2026.

Your address ends in Where it came from Incoming and outgoing host Ports Webmail
breezelineohio.net WOW customers in Ohio, moved to Breezeline in 2022 mail.breezelineohio.net IMAP 993 SSL, SMTP 465 SSL, as Breezeline publishes mail.breezelineohio.net, its own sign in gateway
atlanticbb.net Atlantic Broadband, renamed Breezeline in 2022 mail.atlanticbb.net IMAP 993 SSL answered; send with authentication on mail.breezeline.net, through the Breezeline account sign in
breezeline.net Breezeline under its current name mail.breezeline.net IMAP 993 SSL answered; the same server as mail.atlanticbb.net mail.breezeline.net
metrocast.net MetroCast, bought by Atlantic Broadband in 2018 mail.metrocast.net IMAP 993 SSL answered, on a separate server Breezeline webmail

Sign in with the full address. Breezeline's Outlook steps say to enter the full email address, including the part after the @, and the normal email password. There is no app password and no extra code to generate.

Breezeline publishes one domain. Its configuration pages for Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, iPhone, Android and Windows Live Mail all show breezelineohio.net. The other rows come from our own connection test, not from a Breezeline page.

Same host both ways. Breezeline uses one name for incoming and outgoing mail, so there is no separate smtp host to look up. Tick that the outgoing server needs authentication and reuse the incoming login.

In short

There is no Breezeline email app. The My Breezeline app pays the bill and checks the modem, and it does not read mail. Breezeline email settings are IMAP on port 993 with SSL and SMTP on port 465 with SSL, on one host for both directions: mail.breezelineohio.net for Ohio addresses, mail.atlanticbb.net or mail.breezeline.net for atlanticbb.net, and mail.metrocast.net for MetroCast. Names like imap.breezeline.com, which several guides list, do not exist.

The most common setup mistake

Three server names that look right and do not exist

Copied from guide to guide, they send a mail program to an address with nothing behind it. We looked each one up on October 7, 2026.

Listed as incoming

imap.breezeline.com

No DNS record. Use the mail host for your domain from the table above.

Listed as outgoing

smtp.breezeline.com

No DNS record. Breezeline sends through the same host that receives.

Listed for POP

pop.breezeline.com

No DNS record. Breezeline's own pages only describe IMAP setups.

The pattern is easy to fall for, because imap.something.com and smtp.something.com is how most providers name their servers. Breezeline does not. When a phone says it cannot connect and never asks for a password, a wrong host is the first suspect, and the fix takes ten seconds.

A retired man reading email on a laptop at his dining table
An address from the MetroCast or Atlantic Broadband years is often the one the whole family still writes to.

Why people look these up

Three company names later, the address still works

A Breezeline mailbox is often older than the Breezeline name. Somebody signed up with MetroCast near a lake in New Hampshire or Maryland, or with Atlantic Broadband in Pennsylvania, and the address went onto business cards, invoices and the county permit forms. The cable company changed hands and changed names. The address did not, and neither did the people who write to it.

That history is why the settings are confusing. Breezeline's help pages were written for the Ohio addresses it took over from WOW, so someone with an atlanticbb.net address reads mail.breezelineohio.net and wonders whether that applies to them. It does not, and the guides that try to simplify it invented server names that were never there.

Typing the right host into one more device fixes today. The larger pattern is one old cable address in a webmail tab, Gmail in another and a work mailbox somewhere else. If that is your week, an email client for multiple accounts is the thing to set up once, and the Breezeline address becomes one source among several.

Breezeline's mail servers answered from the US and went silent from Europe

We opened the same IMAP connections from a server in the United States and from an ordinary address in Poland, minutes apart.

  • mail.breezeline.net on 993: no connection after 8 seconds
  • mail.metrocast.net on 993: no connection after 8 seconds

Breezeline does not publish a list of countries, and one test from one country is not a policy. The practical point stands anyway. A mail program on your laptop connects from wherever the laptop is, so a trip abroad can look exactly like a broken password. Inboxes connects to Breezeline from the United States and shows the result in a browser, so the mailbox keeps being read while you are away. The Armstrong email settings page shows the same behavior from another regional cable company.

Six routes to Breezeline email, compared

They all reach the same mailbox. They differ in where they run and whether your other addresses come along.

Route to Breezeline email Runs on Holds other accounts too Sorts or filters for you Cost
Inboxes Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, in a browser tab Yes, one merged board Yes, a category and a spam flag on every message 49 dollars a month for five mailboxes, half that billed yearly
Breezeline webmail Any browser No, one Breezeline address Breezeline's own spam filtering Included with service
My Breezeline app iPhone and Android No, it is a billing and account app Not applicable Included with service
iPhone or Android Mail app The phone only Yes No Included with the phone
Thunderbird Windows, macOS, Linux Yes, through Unified Folders Rules you write by hand Open source, no license fee
Classic Outlook Windows and macOS only Yes, several accounts in one profile Rules you write by hand Part of a Microsoft 365 subscription

Settings come from Breezeline's configuration pages for Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, Android and Windows Live Mail. The My Breezeline app features are from Breezeline's description of it. If one Breezeline address on one home computer is the whole problem, Thunderbird or your phone's Mail app is an honest answer with no license fee.

When the setup fails

Breezeline email not working after you enter the settings

It cannot connect and never asks for a password. The host is wrong. Check it against the table at the top of this page, and remove any imap. or smtp. prefix a guide told you to add.

The password is refused, but webmail accepts it. Make sure the user name is the full address, including the domain. Breezeline's Outlook guide asks you to confirm the Breezeline user name it fills in, and an older profile may hold only the part before the @.

Mail arrives but will not send. Open the outgoing server settings and check two things: authentication is switched on and set to use the same settings as the incoming server, and the encryption matches the port, which is SSL on 465 in every Breezeline guide.

It worked at home and stopped on vacation. See the test above. If the same phone connects again as soon as you are back in the United States, it was never the settings.

Old messages vanished from the phone. A POP setup from years ago may have moved them onto one computer. Breezeline's guides are written for IMAP, which keeps the mail on the server and in step across devices.

Where a browser client fits

What you get with Inboxes

The job Breezeline has no product for, which is holding an old cable address and every other mailbox in one list.

The right host, once

Enter the server for your domain one time. A new laptop or a replaced phone means opening a browser and signing in.

Breezeline beside the rest

The old address in the same stream as Gmail, Yahoo and your own domain, with the source account on each row.

Read from anywhere

The connection to Breezeline starts in the United States, so the board keeps filling while you travel.

Junk marked on arrival

An address that has been public for fifteen years collects lists. Each message gets a category and a spam verdict before you open it.

Where this is the wrong answer

What Inboxes does not do

We cannot promise sending through Breezeline's server. Reading a Breezeline mailbox works over IMAP. Breezeline's outgoing servers, though, refused the connection from our servers when we tested on October 7, 2026, with a block aimed at data center addresses. Until that changes, plan to read and sort the Breezeline address here and send replies from Breezeline webmail or your phone. Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, iCloud and own domain accounts on the same board reply normally.

It does not change the Breezeline mailbox. Storage, Breezeline's spam filter, the password and the account itself stay with Breezeline, and the address ends when Breezeline ends it.

It does not use OAuth anywhere. We connect with a user name and password over IMAP, which suits a Breezeline address and rules out others. An outlook.com, hotmail.com or Microsoft 365 work address will not connect here. Breezeline, Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, iCloud, Zoho and own domain mailboxes all do.

No calendar, no contacts, no offline mode, and no permanent tier that costs nothing. It runs in a browser tab, and plans start at 49 dollars a month for five mailboxes. If one address on one computer at home is all you need, the settings at the top of this page and Thunderbird will do it with no license fee. The case for paying starts when you read several mailboxes on several machines, or want the volume itself cut down.

FAQ

Questions people ask about Breezeline email

Is there a Breezeline email app?

No. Breezeline does not make an app that reads email. The My Breezeline app handles bills, Auto Pay, payment methods, paperless billing, equipment and modem status and how-to videos, and Breezeline Mobile is for its phone service. Breezeline email is read in webmail or added to another mail program over IMAP.

What are the Breezeline email settings?

Breezeline publishes one set: incoming IMAP on mail.breezelineohio.net, port 993 with SSL, and outgoing SMTP on mail.breezelineohio.net, port 465 with SSL, with authentication on and your normal password. Those pages are written for breezelineohio.net addresses. An atlanticbb.net, metrocast.net or breezeline.net address uses its own host on the same ports.

What are the atlanticbb.net email settings?

Use mail.atlanticbb.net for incoming IMAP on port 993 with SSL and for outgoing SMTP with authentication on. In our test on October 7, 2026, mail.atlanticbb.net and mail.breezeline.net resolved to the same server and both answered IMAP on 993, so either name reaches an atlanticbb.net mailbox.

What are the Breezeline email settings for iPhone?

Open Settings, then Mail, Accounts, Add Account, Other and Add Mail Account. Enter your name, full address and password, then set the incoming and outgoing mail servers to the host for your domain, for example mail.breezelineohio.net or mail.atlanticbb.net. Breezeline lists 993 with SSL for incoming and 465 with SSL for outgoing.

What is the Breezeline outgoing mail server?

The same host as incoming mail. Breezeline lists mail.breezelineohio.net on port 465 with SSL for Ohio addresses, with outgoing authentication switched on and set to use the same settings as the incoming server. Older addresses send through mail.atlanticbb.net, mail.breezeline.net or mail.metrocast.net. There is no smtp.breezeline.com.

What are the Breezeline email server settings for Outlook?

In classic Outlook choose manual setup and IMAP. Enter your full address, put the host for your domain in both the incoming and outgoing server fields, tick that the outgoing server requires authentication using the same settings as incoming, then on the Advanced tab enter 993 and 465 and pick SSL for both.

What are the breezelineohio.net email settings?

mail.breezelineohio.net for both directions: IMAP on port 993 with SSL and SMTP on port 465 with SSL, normal password authentication. These are the values on every Breezeline configuration page, for Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, iPhone, Android and Windows Live Mail. The addresses came from WOW customers in Ohio who moved to Breezeline.

What are the metrocast.net email settings?

Use mail.metrocast.net for incoming IMAP on port 993 with SSL. The host answered IMAP in our test on October 7, 2026. MetroCast became part of Atlantic Broadband in 2018, which renamed itself Breezeline in 2022, so metrocast.net mail is a Breezeline mailbox and signs in with its normal password.

Is imap.breezeline.com the right server?

No. Several settings websites list imap.breezeline.com, smtp.breezeline.com and pop.breezeline.com, but on October 7, 2026 none of those names existed in DNS, so a mail program pointed at them fails before it reaches a password prompt. Use mail.breezelineohio.net, mail.breezeline.net, mail.atlanticbb.net or mail.metrocast.net.

Why is my Breezeline email not working?

Start with the server name, because copied guides list hosts that do not exist. Then check that the outgoing server has authentication on, that the password in the mail program matches webmail, and that you are not abroad: in our test the Breezeline mail servers answered from the United States and timed out from Europe.

How do I access my Breezeline webmail?

Go to mail.breezeline.net, which hands you to the Breezeline account sign in, for atlanticbb.net, metrocast.net and breezeline.net addresses. Ohio addresses use mail.breezelineohio.net, which signs in through a separate gateway. Webmail shows one Breezeline address at a time and nothing from Gmail or work mail.

Can I check Breezeline email when traveling abroad?

Possibly not from a mail program on your own device. On October 7, 2026 every Breezeline mail host we tried answered from a server in the United States and timed out from an address in Poland. A client that connects from US servers on your behalf keeps reading the mailbox while you are away.

Can I read Breezeline email and Gmail in one app?

Yes, in any IMAP client. The Breezeline address connects with its normal password and Gmail with a Google app password, and both appear in one list with the source account marked on each message. Nothing is forwarded, so the Breezeline mailbox stays exactly as it is.

Enter the Breezeline host one last time

Connect the old cable address with its normal password, then put Gmail, Yahoo and your own domain on the same board.
